Level 2 (Intermediate)
Level: Intermediate
I've done quite a bit of abdominal scanning and I am comfortable finding the main organs such as liver, spleen, and urinary bladder. I feel ready to move on to more challenging scans and get comfortable finding, and assessing, more difficult structures such as the pancreas, gastrointestinal tract and lymph nodes.
The Hands-On Practical Course For You Is Practical Abdominal Ultrasound Level 2 (Intermediate)
This 2 day practical ultrasound course is designed for vets in practice who have a moderate amount of ultrasound experience. To attend this course you should be familiar with the basic use of an ultrasound machine, and you should be confident in your ability to locate and examine the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder and prostate. This course has a limited number of delegates and a high tutor:delegate ratio to ensure you get the most out of the sessions, and develop your scanning skills for use in practice.

Level: Intermediate/Advanced
I'm a competent abdominal ultrasound scanner and I would like to build on these skills.
The Hands-On Practical Course For You Is Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound
This course will help you to build on the knowledge and skills that you gained in the Level 2 scanning course. We will focus on challenging areas like the pylorus and urinary bladder trigone, and perform a detailed evaluation of the stomach wall and intestine. We'll also concentrate on smaller organs, and delve into the complexities of differentiating variations in normal appearance, from pathological changes. There will also be an introduction in using ultrasound to identify portosystemic shunts, and to guide fine needle aspirates.
