This 1 day highly practical course will set you up for a great start. A tried and tested format that has helped hundreds of vets build the confidence to embark on their cardiac ultrasound journey. We’ll help you obtain the required views for 2D and M-mode echocardiography. We will help you to enhance your scanning proficiency, which will allow you to apply your new skills immediately in practice.

Level 2: Intermediate
I’ve done quite a bit of cardiac scanning and I regularly use echo as part of my cardiac workups. I am comfortable using different planes to get the best images and I can identify common artefacts. I feel ready to move on to more challenging scans, and to further develop my skills.

Practical Cardiac Ultrasound Level 2 (Intermediate)
This 2 day practical course is suitable for you if you already have some echocardiography experience, or if you have attended our Introduction to Cardiac Ultrasound course. The skills we will help you acquire on this course include: pulsed wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, and colour flow Doppler. Hands-on practical sessions will be interspersed with relevant theory including how to apply the Bernoulli equation to your clinical cases.
