This two day course is designed for veterinary surgeons in practice with little or no experience of using ultrasound. With a high proportion of 'hands-on' practical scanning this is an excellent way for you to get started. The seminars will teach you the basics of abdominal ultrasound and allow you to practise scanning dogs yourself, with expert assistance and practical tips from the course tutors.
Specific areas to be covered include:
• Principles of ultrasound
• Choosing and using an ultrasound machine and transducers
• Patient preparation for optimum results
• How to begin incorporating ultrasound into your practice
• Identifying artefacts in your scans
• Basic scanning techniques for examination of the liver, spleen, urogenital tract, gastrointestinal tract and abdominal cavity
• Recognising normal anatomy and commonly encountered conditions in the abdomen
Course fee
£650.00 + VAT (£763.75)
