Course outline
Dental and oral diseases are extremely common! This two day course offers a highly practical approach to the dental and oral cases that you are likely to encounter in practice. Essential for all general practitioners, this course is designed to make your dentistry a pleasure! You will gain confidence and efficiency in your approach to dental and oral cases and develop your ability to diagnose dental problems accurately, decide on the most appropriate course of action in each case and then perform the necessary procedures effectively. Extensive wet-lab practical sessions will provide you with the ‘hands-on’ training that is vital for developing your skills.
Specific areas to be covered include:
• Oral examination – what’s normal, what’s not!
• Intra-oral radiography – identifying the lesion
• Dental and oral diseases – when to extract and why!
• Dental abnormalities – malocclusion, developmental oddities etc
• Periodontal disease
• Feline dental disease
• Extraction techniques
