Course outline
Arthroscopy is being used increasingly in small animal orthopaedic patients. There are advantages for both patient and owner over arthrotomy, including decreased morbidity levels and high levels of owner satisfaction. On this course you will be introduced to arthroscopic investigation in small animals. During hands-on wetlab sessions you will gain skills in the practical aspects of basic canine arthroscopy, enabling you to perform routine arthroscopic procedures in your practice. Extensive practical sessions will help you to get the most from this course and enable you to develop new skills in arthroscopy that you can use in your practice.
Specific areas to be covered include:
• Developing and refining basic arthroscopic skills
• Pathogenesis and management options for canine elbow dysplasia
