Course outline
A one day 'hands-on' practical course based in a convenient central location. Areas relevant to ear surgery in small animal practice will be discussed, and practical sessions will help you to develop your surgical skills and refine techniques.
Specific areas to be covered include:
• When is surgery indicated?
• Decision-making; which surgical technique is appropriate?
• Surgical procedure videos
• Practical tips
• Potential complications and how to avoid them
Wetlab sessions provide the opportunity to practise surgical techniques:-
• Lateral wall resection
• TECA-BO
• Ventral bulla osteotomy
