During this course we will address the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges presented by the cat or dog with seizures. You will learn about the causes of seizure activity, treatment of the basic and more refractory case as well as effective treatment of the patient in status epilepticus. All the drugs which can be used in veterinary medicine to treat seizure patients will be discussed in detail. You are encouraged to bring cases to discuss but case
examples will be provided to assist in developing your decision making skills and in applying theory to the types of cases you are likely to encounter in practice.
