Course outline
Ophthalmology cases can be challenging to deal with in first opinion practice. In an ideal world, you would have access to an experienced colleague at all times for advice, and the option to refer each patient to a specialist centre if required. However, in the real world, you have to make decisions on both apparently straightforward and more complex or demanding cases.
Sometimes you have to deal yourself, with cases that you would rather refer if the circumstances allowed. This course allows you to ask all the questions about ophthalmology that will help you to deal with your patients more effectively and with considerably less stress!

Questions to be answered include:
• How do I know whether a red eye is uveitis or glaucoma if I haven't got the option of measuring the intraocular pressure?
• What is the best treatment for conjunctivitis in the dog?
• How do I know what treatment to use for a corneal ulcer?
• What treatment is best for an acute glaucoma where the owner can't afford referral?
• Add your own questions to be answered on this course

Previous delegates have said…
‘Brilliant. Much more confident and enthusiastic about ophthalmology. Can't wait to see some more eye cases in practice!’
