Course outline
Common endocrine disorders of cats and dogs will be covered in these two, one-day courses. A logical approach to endocrine problem solving and diagnosis will be emphasised and traditional
and newer treatment options illustrated with case examples. Diagnostic testing of some endocrine disorders in particular may be a minefield and rational decision making based on test results will be discussed. Management of emergency endocrine cases will also be covered.
Specific areas to be covered include:
• Canine and feline Cushing's syndrome
• Parathyroid disorders
• Hypothyroidism
• Approach to the PU/PD patient
• Endocrine emergencies
